Steel Tabletop Series

Judith comments "My baby spoon, fork, and orange juice cup (dented from banging it on my highchair tray) from over 80 years ago in traditional New England, were sterling. My grandmother's, mother's and my sterling, which were used every day, are now in the drawer, having given way to stainless steel. Who has time these days to polish silver?

"My parents' mahogany dining room table, formally set every evening and every Sunday after church with linen and fine China has given way to paper napkins and crockery on the steel kitchen table. It's a different world."
